Our Superstar

Austin Newstead is an exceptional young racer whose life moves at full speed both academically and competitively. At just 11, he travels internationally for karting while working towards his GCSEs.

Thanks to flexible home-education, Austin balances both worlds. He's already a two-time British Kart Champion, earning his titles through sheer dedication, determination and hard work.

Our Results and Success Stories

Confidence Grown to Grade Achieved

Anya joined in 2019, when she was in year 5. At the time, she found mathematics particularly challenging and lack confidence in her ability. She began with face-to-face sessions, were we focused on building core understanding and helping her feel more assured in her learning.

When Covid hit, Anya seamlessly transitioned to online tutoring - and she stayed with use all the way through to her GCSEs. Over the years, her confidence grew enormously. She developed stronger problem-solving skills, greater resilience, and a real belief in herself.

Her hard work paid off. Anya achieved the highest possible grade on the Edexcel Foundation Mathematics paper - a grade 5 - an amazing milestone for a subject in her words 'not my favourite subject'.

We are incredibly proud of Anya's progress and the dedication she showed throughout her learning journey. She is a brilliant example of how consistent support, personalised teaching, and perseverance can transform outcomes.

Turning Fun into Fluency

Neave joined in the spring term of year 2 to receive support with phonics, reading and mathematics. From the very beginning, she showed a bright imagination and a wonderfull enthusiasim for learning. With structured one-to-one, face-to-face sessions, her reading confidence grew quickly - and she whizzed through her reading levels in school, reaching a strong fluent standard with her achieving star of the year at the end of year 3.

Neave's tutoring journey is a brilliant examples of how a holistic approach to learning can transform progress. Her sessions mix academic movment, creatviity, and fun. One moment she is crafting imaginative stories about 'Bob the Inventor'; the next, she is reciting her times tables while bouncing on the trampoline, effortlessly calling out answers even while somersaulting.

Her mathematical confidence has grown enormously. Neave is now fluent in her 3,4,5,8,10 and 11 times tables, and she was confident reciting her 3 times tables in our summer lessons before her transition from year 2 to year 3.

Neave's journey shows that when learning is tailored to each child's needs, and joy is placed at the centre - children thrive both academically and emotionally. We couldn't be prouder of everything she has achieved so far.

Noah's Journey: A Two Grade Transformation in Just 7 months

Noah joined in October 2024, shortly after receiving his Year 10 mock results. At that time, he was achieving a Grade 2 in English Language, and although he felt discourages, he was determined to improve. From the very first session, Noah listened carefully to every piece of advise and shows a genuine commitment to developing his skills.

Together, we focusses on strengthening his analytical writing. He learned how to look deeper into quotations, explore the writer's intentions and explain the effect on the reader. Noah also worked hard on crafting more imaginative, engaging stories, carefully building tension and creating a powerful atmosphere for his audience. One of the key things he learned was the importance of using short, sharp sentences to add impact and control pace - something he began implementing brilliantly.

Because of his dedication, Noah's progress was clear. His next set of assessments shows he had already climbed to a grade 3. This was encouraging, but Noah didn't stop there. He continued to refine his writing, practise consistently, and take on feedback with maturity and determination.

By the time his year 11 mock exams arrived, Noah had made remarkable progress - and when GCSE results day came, he achieved a Grade 4. A two-grade increase in just seven months. Absolutely incredible.

Well done, Noah - you were an absolute pleasure to support, and your success is thoroughly deserved.

Pushing The Boundaries - How She Hit Her Target Grade

In June 2024, we welcomes a dedicated student who joined us with a clear goal: to achieve a Grade 7 in GCSE Mathematics so that she could pursue A Level Science. At the time, she was achieving Grade 5 in her year 10 mock examinations, and although she has a solid foundation, she needed to strengthen her understanding of high-level concepts to reach the grade required for her next steps.

From the outset, she shows exceptional commitment. She undertook all her online via Zoom, attending weekly 45-minute lessons with full focus and enthusiasm. Despite learning remotely, she remained consistently engaged and attentive, demonstrating outstanding self-discipline and motivation. She listened carefully, asked relative questions, and always acted upon the advice and guidance she achieved.

As her confidence grew,  she began to understand and master the higher-tier mathematical concepts that once felt out of reach. Her ability to apply new knowledge improved week by week, and her practice exam results reflected this steady progress. She pushed herself to tackle more challenging material and showed remarkable perseverance, even when topics were demanding.

Beyond her academic achievements, she was a pleasure to reach. She is a thoughtful, motivated, and resilient young person with a genuine passion for learning. Her positive outlook and willingness to keep trying-no matter the difficultly - made her an inspiring role model for other students. She bought energy and curiosity to every online lesson, often arriving with questions, reflections, and a determination to build on the previous week's progress.

In August 2025, we received the best email:

'Thank you so much! Very happy to say I got a 7 in maths'

Proof Home Education Works: Ashton Achieves Top Foundation Grade

Ashton joined in 2023, as a home-educated student, and from the very beginning he showed the qualities of a truly outstanding learner. He first became part of our Home Educated Group Programme, attending two 45-minute sessions each week, where he quickly stood out for his positive attitude, commitment, and willingness to get involved.

As his exams approached, Ashton transitioned into intensive one-to-one tuition during the half term, ensuring he had the focused support he needed to feel confident and fully prepared.

What made Ashton exceptional wasn’t just his academic progress, but his mindset. He approached every session with enthusiasm, curiosity and resilience. He was never afraid to make mistakes, ask questions, or push himself to understand concepts more deeply. His energy lifted the group, and teaching him was genuinely a pleasure from start to finish.

In August 2025, all of Ashton’s hard work paid off when he achieved a Grade 5 in GCSE Mathematics — the highest grade available on the foundation tier. This is an incredible achievement and one he should be extremely proud of.

Ashton’s journey is a prime example of how home education, when supported with the right structure, tutoring, and dedication, can lead to outstanding academic success. He showed what is truly possible when motivation, guidance and perseverance come together.

We are so proud of everything Ashton achieved. He was an absolute joy to work with, and we wish him every success in the exciting future ahead.

Blake's SATs Breakthrough

Blake joined us in September 2024 for additional support in English and Maths as he prepared for his SATs in May 2025. When he started, Blake struggled with several key mathematical concepts including adding, subtracting, dividing and multiplying fractions with different denominators, working with mixed numbers, and understanding percentages and decimals. On arithmetic papers, he was achieving around 19 out of 36, showing there were clear gaps that needed targeted support.

In English, Blake needed further guidance with grammar, punctuation and identifying word classes, skills essential for the SPaG paper and for building confidence in his writing.

Throughout the year, Blake showed exceptional commitment. He completed additional work outside of sessions to strengthen his understanding and reinforce the skills he was learning. His dedication genuinely stood out.

All of that hard work paid off. In July 2025, we received the most fantastic message from his family:

“Blake absolutely smashed his SATs — thank you so much for your support.”

We couldn’t be prouder.

Since Blake transitioned to secondary school, we’ve stayed in touch, and it’s wonderful to hear that he’s doing really well in Year 7. This only proves what we already knew: Blake was fully prepared and more than ready for the next step in his education.

Blake’s journey is a brilliant example of what consistent effort, personalised teaching and resilience can achieve
